CAN YOU HELP?

Keith Seddon has established that Panora, the specialist photographers who produced the annual panoramic photograph of the whole school, ceased trading in 1989. Panora's negatives from September 1968 and later are currently held in the Documentary Photo Archive (DPA) of the Greater Manchester Council Record Office (http://www.gmcro.co.uk) but sadly all the firm's earlier negatives are known to have been destroyed.

Since it now seems that this website is one of the few surviving places where such photographs can be preserved and put on display, I'm hoping that anyone who owns an FGS whole-school panorama from any year not already listed above would be willing to lend it to me briefly so that I can publish it here. I promise to take great care of it and to return it, unharmed, within days.

Please note that henceforth this website's '50-year' house rule (i.e. that stuff should be at least 50 years old) no longer applies to panoramic photographs. With your help I hope to build an archive that's as complete as possible.
