- Moved to Teesside on marriage (1962) and had three children [and now six grandchildren].
- Gained two Drama diplomas and Humanities degree.
- Taught and examined Speech and Drama until retirement.
- Lives near Darlington with husband.
- Interests outside family include theatre, cinema, literature and travel.
