- I was at FGS from 1958 to 1963 – the first of four Eden brothers to attend FGS. My younger brothers were; Ronald @FGS 1961 to 1965, Edward 1963 to 1968, and Alan 1965 to 1970.
- I left FGS in 1963 and went to work as a lab assistant at ICI Blackley.
- Studied part-time at Bolton Tech for ONC, HNC, and some of the GRIC (now GRSC) until I moved to ICI Wilton Nylon Polymer works in 1971 and eventually finished my GRSC at Tees-side Polytechnic.
Left ICI in 1976 – this was when the rot set in with ICI.
- Studied at UMIST in the Corrosion and Protection centre 1976 to 1982; gained MSc and PhD degrees in Corrosion Science (the extra two years as post doc).
- Joined the Corrosion and Protection Centre Industrial Services (CAPCIS) group 1982 – left in 1987 to work for a year with my brothers.
- Joined Capcis March Ltd in 1989. Moved to Aberdeen in mid 90’s, and on to Houston, Texas in 2002.
- Now employed by Honeywell in Houston, where I specialize in electrochemical corrosion monitoring.
