The school's essay into practical politics seems to have met with a good response. The winner, a left-wing candidate who campaigned on a pro-nationalisation ticket, became a major industrialist and is now a knight of the realm.

Staff cross-country

A tongue-in-cheek piece written by a sixth-former who, almost half a century later, provided much material and encouragement in the early days of this website. Nice one, Bill!
