Farnworth Grammar School

1951:Two teachers

Contributed by Alwynn Foster

Alwynn's 1951 photograph shows two popular staff members, namely Miss L. Worthington, who taught history (and who married Mr. E.F. "Trigger" Rigby) and Miss E.M. Lowe (later Mrs. Bamblin) whose subject was German.

Where are they now? This website would love to hear from them, and I'm sure that the many people who remember them with affection and gratitude would like to wish them well.

PS: 08 February 2006: Geoff Thomas, who is still in touch with Mrs. Bamblin, has written to say that Mr. Rigby is seriously ill and is being cared for by Mrs. Rigby. Understandably, Mrs. Bamblin says that they would prefer not to be contacted.
