"Easter 1950, summit of Scafell Pike, Lake District; 3206 feet above sea level, the highest point in England.
This was on the second of Mr. Wotton's Youth Hostel trips, this time to Keswick - Borrowdale - Ambleside, with optional climbs up Great Gable and Scafell."
