British Rail Excursion Fares, 1950

Harry has written to say that he stumbled upon his original clipping of the 1950 School Cert. results — and found, on the back of it, a BR advertisement for day excursions. More than 50 years later, and converted into today's money, the fares make interesting reading:
Blackpool................................. 5/- (=25p)	Morecambe.............................. 6/- (=30p)
Southport................................. 3/9 (=19p)	Anglesey Coast Cruise......... 20/10 (=£1.04)
Saturday evening excursion to Blackpool (Dep Trinity St 5.05pm, return at 11pm from Blackpool Central).........4/- (=20p).
