Mr. E.F.'Trigger' Rigby. An Old Boy of the school, he left FGS only to get his degree. Returning after graduation, he taught French at FGS until he retired. Mr. R.N. Bate (Chemistry) Mr. E.R. Petty (Maths) Mr. J. 'Joss' Friday (Physics) Mr. P.H. 'Froggy' Holgate (French), here looking much older than when he taught me a year earlier. Ill-health forced him to retire in 1948. Succeeded Miss Westwood as Senior Mistress. Miss Spiby (School Secretary) who married Mr. Wilson in the 1950s. Mr. Ashworth ('Bodger') (Biology) Miss O'Donnell (Maths) Mrs. Lawrenson (PE) Miss Fowler (English). May have taught at FGS as a part-timer.
